Andre Leite

Vice President Ontario Operations,
Agnico Eagle Mines Limited

Andre has more than 20 years of operational, technical and project management experience in the gold, base metals, uranium and iron ore mining industries. He holds a Master’s degree in Mining Engineering (McGill University) and a Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil).

Andre began his career in Brazil in the iron ore and mine technology industries. He has held senior leadership roles with Detour Gold and Vale Base Metals in Canada, Australia and New Caledonia. Prior to his current role as Vice President, Ontario Operations for Agnico Eagle, he was Vice President, Technical Services for Kirkland Lake Gold.

Andre has been a Maptek customer for over a decade, using applications for geological and resource modelling, short and long term mine planning, geotechnical modelling, and drill and blast processes. He appreciates the high standards of the Maptek team that develops and deploys innovative solutions supporting the industry.
