Vulcan 9 launched in Mongolia

Thirty delegates attended the launch of Vulcan 9 software in an event co-hosted by Maptek and its Mongolian distributor, IT Expert LLC.

Attendees included existing customers, mine planning consultants, earthmoving contractors, potential customers and lecturing staff and students from the Mongolian University of Science and Technology.

Steve Sullivan from Maptek presented an overview of the new functionality in context to its applicability to the Mongolian mining industry.

Demonstrations of case studies for implicit modelling, harp modelling, grade estimation and resource reporting and open pit design were presented.

The question and answer session was enthusiastically embraced with questions on wide ranging topics for Vulcan software as well as the application of I-Site laser scanning for geological data collection and PerfectDig for operational control of mine excavation.

IT Expert received positive feedback after the 3 hour session via their facebook page and will follow up interested parties.
