Maptek Founder delivers Innovation Lectures

Monday, May 23rd, 2011

Maptek Founder and Chairman, Bob Johnson, will deliver a series of Innovation Lectures across Australia in June.

Hosted by the Warren Centre for Engineering, the talks will enable audiences to hear how Maptek has evolved from its early days as a service provider to a developer of leading-edge software and hardware technology for the global mining industry.

Bob will share his insights into how pursuing applications in different industries has helped to shape the company’s direction and maintain its position at the cutting edge of innovation and technology. Highlights include the history of Maptek and its crucial role in the rescue of the Chilean Miners in 2010.

In 2010, Bob was named ‘Innovation Hero’ for his contribution to the mining, engineering and surveying industries.

Dates and locations of lectures can be found on the Warren Centre website.
