Laser scan survey solutions on show at Indonesian users forum

Maptek distributor PT Asaba organised the 3rd Indonesian 3D Laser Scanner gathering in Balikpapan recently to showcase the latest Maptek I-Site systems to 50 attendees.

Strong talks from government and universities highlighted the importance of slope stability monitoring in mining. Australasian Sales Manager Steve Sullivan demonstrated the benefits of Maptek Sentry for monitoring and predicting surface movements by measuring changes in displacement, velocity and inverse velocity. Sentry has been proved as a reliable, accurate and cost-effective tool for risk management.

Attendees enjoyed workshops and demonstrations around I-Site 3D laser scanning applications

Scans were captured with the I-Site laser scanner mounted on a vehicle for stop-go scanning, followed by a workshop where attendees applied the latest I-Site Studio 6.1 software to process and model laser scan data.
