Laser Scanners

Andina has implemented I-Site for laser scanning system at the Rio Blanco orebody operation, allowing for more stringent geotechnical controls in achieving proposed mine designs.

Rio Tinto Alcan trialled a new method of overburden removal using the I-Site laser scanner. Surveying the site before and after stripping the overburden improved efficiency and saved 40% in time taken.
