Our Story

Maptek has been at the forefront of innovative mining technology since 1981.

We believe that to make mining more efficient, miners should be enabled to make better decisions. That’s why all our effort is focused on providing integrated decision support capability.

This integration is particularly important as it enables customers to turn data into knowledge at every stage of the mining life-cycle. Ultimately, by fully integrating that knowledge we want to change the way mining is done, forever.

Our long-held purpose is to put customer-driven solutions at the forefront of everything we do. We will continue to lead the development and delivery of technical solutions by understanding the needs of the industry and investing in the best people and partnerships.

This means building an environment where excellence, trying and failing are collectively owned and celebrated. People need to know and trust each other for this to occur and so working in proximity to the diversity of skills required for better industry outcomes is essential.

Wellness Day

Maptek acknowledges that mental health is a state of well-being in which staff/employees can realise their abilities, cope with the normal stresses of life and work productively. In 2020 Maptek introduced Wellness Day as a way to thank staff, who have a day away from work to spend as they wish and to recharge.
